Message I was told the paint job cost over 5k. I think the reason it shines so much is because it literally has no orange peel. It's real sensitive though and tough to keep clean. I love black, and the way it looks but sometimes I wish It wasnt black. Its a challange to keep it clean even when it is just sitting on account of all the dust. Easy to put lines in with towels, fingers etc, but they wax right out.

I've been pretty happy with the Hks BC. I bought it used for $150 off a guy who took it out of an rx7 he just bought. I got all new filters and lines and instal materials for it for less than 50 bucks and was able to instal it ok myself with no experience and just the tech section as a guide. Once it is set up properly it is very easy to use. boost comes on quick and holds pretty steady. It has a button right on the front to switch between low and high boost. Another neat feature is the peak boost limiter. It come in handy in the winter. You can set a max boost and if your car hits it, it will beep and go back to stock boost until you let your foot off the gas, then plant your foot back on the gas and it resumes its setting. Many say they have problems with it continuing to auto learn on them, but if you read the manual it shows how you can hold a button and switch the switch on the back it locks its settings in. Here are pics of how its mounted in interior. [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=934703 ]
I have pics of the instal. Just let me know if you want them.

If you go with an electronic boost controller, just make sure you keep your boost lines as SHORT as possible, which is hard to do on a twin. But running the lines directly into the wastegates that will help shave off some. If they are too long, you will get worse boost spikes then with the jets. I know from experience.

Yes I did run boost jets. But I did a dumb thing. I ran them for about 3 months before buying a boost guage. After installing a gauge In the colder winter months, I realized the car was spiking to 17 and holding steady at 16. Never any detonation though. I've known other people to run that much boost without any problems either. Ohio's 93 and 94 octane gas probally help. When It got a little warmer it was spiking to 16 and holding steady at 15. The jwt chips are suppose to come with two size jets. If the smaller size makes your car run at 17 the the larger set will probally run a few pounds less.

I had jets with cats too, then jets without cats. Biggest difference was less lag, and usable boost in 4th and 5th gear.

Glad to see you finally started power modding your Z. It makes it feel like a whole nother car. I'm suprised you waited that long. After test driving a stg III tt when I had an na, I was super anxious to be stg III. I dont think I had my car even a month yet before I went stg III. I think I am content for awhile though. At least until I graduate from college and do some bigger turbos =)

If you have any other questions let me know.
Seeya.
